Who Do You Love The Most?

As we continue on this month of love, I invite you to love the most important person in the world – You!

There are quite a few types of love. Erotic Love. Affectionate Love. Familiar Love. Playful Love. Obsessive Love. Enduring Love. Selfless Love. Self-Love.

Self-love is the most difficult for some people.

According to an article by Aska Kolton on Tiny Buddha, 7 things happen when you start to love yourself more.

Here are my 3 favorite…

Vibrant Living Tip

  1. You will start to feel more in charge of your life.

You have a choice. You can make poor choices out of fear, guilt, and shame or empowered choices that were aligned with who you are and what feels authentic to you. When you start loving yourself more, you will realize your wants and needs are important, and you have the choice to honor them.

  1. You will stop seeking approval.

When you have your own approval and acceptance, you start caring less about other people’s opinion of you and start living a life that’s aligned with your own values. This creates space for you to be more authentic, less defensive, and more your genuine self.

  1. You will start to make more courageous and conscious decisions.

Self-love will give you the courage to get rid of things that don’t serve you and make space for things that will help you grow. When you truly value yourself, you make decisions that honor you rather than harm you.

I invite you to find ways to love yourself more. Try one of these or create your own.

  • Look at yourself in the mirror and smile.
  • Pamper yourself with your favorite dinner, movie, flowers, activity.
  • Write yourself a love note.
  • Celebrate something you accomplished, no matter how big or small.

Vibrant Living Take Away

When you love yourself, the love around you increases. And in this month of love, that’s a good thing.

Until next time...
