I’ve heard many refer to this as unprecedented times.
The word itself doesn’t have a good or bad meaning.
“never done or known before”
How we think about it makes it good or bad.
If you look at social media or the news, you will see a wide range of feelings about our current circumstances.
We are in collective rocky times.
Will you see it as bad?
Or will you discover a way to think something different?
I invite you to find a way to be fortified inside, so unprecedented times lead to a calm, peaceful way of being in the world.
One thing you can do - use affirmations. Create your own. Or use someone else’s.

When you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, affirmations can create a different way of thinking.
Your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between what you tell it and what has happened. That is why affirmations work.
I was introduced to affirmations when a friend gave me Louise Hay’s book “You Can Heal Your Life.”
I started reading the book. I looked at the affirmations. Didn’t resonate with me. I did realize how affirmations could help me, though.
My answer was to create my own. What I did was notice what I was telling myself about me. Lots of negativity. This was at least 30 years ago. I decided to take each thought and reverse it. Those became my affirmations. I woke up a half hour early everyday and read them before getting out of bed. And what I found… I felt better. I had more energy. What was really surprising, I had more time each morning. How did that happen? Where did that time come from?
I call it magic.
What are you saying right now? It could be… What if I get sick. How can I survive having my spouse home all day. Helping home school my children. What about my parents.
Take each one and reverse it. I am healthy and finding ways to boost my immune system. I remember the days when I missed my spouse when he/she wasn’t near, it can be like that again. I am so grateful to spend time with my children. I am grateful that my parents are close and I can support them everyday.
