One of the ways I like to keep the holidays alive, no matter what time of year, is to be childlike. Not childish. They are different. I invite you to take time to watch a child play. Really play. That is an example of what I consider childlike.

Children have this natural creativity. Curiosity. Wonder. Excitement for the little things.

My favorite childlike behavior is bubbles. I love blowing bubbles. I give bubbles to every child I know. We spend hours blowing, chasing and popping bubbles.

Children are so creative, even when playing with bubbles. They each seem to have their own way of playing. My one nephew likes to “catch” them on the bubble wand. He is very good at “catching” them without them popping. Another nephew loves to run and jump and chase and pop them.

I don’t know any child who doesn’t love bubbles as much as me.

Do you have a favorite thing to do with children?

Vibrant Living Tip

Pick one thing you love doing with children or watching children do? Do it by yourself or with a child at least once this week.

Then make it a repeating event. Put it in your calendar. Every week. Every month. Every quarter. You choose the activity and timing. The activity can be different for each event. The timing should be fixed. Do it within a day of when it is in your calendar.
