Who Will You Feed?

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life:

“A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.

“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”

He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you–and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

I love this story because it is also our story.

Whatever we feed, we receive more of.

Right now there is a part of us that wants to move forward. Wants to dream bravely, act boldly and live vibrantly.

And there is a part of us that fights for the status quo. Who isn’t sure it is worth the risk. Says: this really isn’t so bad.

Many times we do not even know that a fight is going on inside of us.

We just keep doing what we have always done.

Are you ready to feed your happiness?

Vibrant Living Tip

Pay attention to your decisions this week. Take a moment to stop and ask, will this feed my happiness or will it feed my fear.

If fear is the answer, ask: what can I do to support my decision for happiness.

Then do that.

Vibrant Living Take Away

See how you feel at the end of the week with more happiness decisions. Are you more productive? I think you will be surprised.

Until next time...

Dream Bravely.
Act Boldly.
Live Vibrantly!
