How To Be Confident

Quote by Anna Freud about strength and confidence come from within

Confidence is an inside job.

No one can make you confident.

Your perception of what is going on outside you can help or hurt, if you let it.

If you do a search about how to develop confidence, you will see many sites with lists to help you.

I have a rather extensive list myself.

I am going to share three of my favorites with you…

Vibrant Living Tip

  1. Gratitude. My go to for everything. Being grateful in all things boosts your confidence by raising your vibration. You feel happier and more confident. So you see, feeling grateful and feeling confident are directly related.
  2. Past successes. Everyone has had a success. You may not think of it as a way to boost your confidence. Make a list of all the successes you’ve had in your life. It could be as simple as learning to walk. Learning to ride a bike. Graduation from school. And all the other things you have accomplished. When you need a confidence boost, look at that list and remember how it felt to accomplish all those things.
  3. Action. Action reinforces your confidence. Ask - what can I do to feel better right now. Then do it. It’s the action and knowing you can do it, that increases your confidence.
  4. Power Pose. I added this to the list as a bonus. You can use it at any moment that you need a quick boost. Stand like Wonder Woman. Feet shoulder width apart and hands on hips. Stand that way for 2 minutes. Check out this video to learn more  - Amy Cuddy Power Poses

Vibrant Living Take Away

Next time you need a confidence boost, I invite you to scan the above list and pick the one that resonates the most to you in the moment.  Then do it. If you need to, add another. Confidence will grow to the degree you allow it.

Until next time...

Act Boldly.
Live Vibrantly!
